Ayra Card - The Main Idea
The Ayra Card Concept
Ayra Card was initially presented in early 2025 (YouTube).
The idea behind Ayra Card is relatively simple. We want to standardize/normalize how we interact for sharing trusted information.
In real life, we know how to exchange business cards in person. We know what to do with them when we receive them. It is a simple dance where both parties know how to get started - and what to do once they are in motion.
Doing that same "dance" in the digital world is wildly inconsistent.
Ayra Card asks, "What if we standardize how the dance begins?".
If I can present something to you that establishes a trusted connection and allows us to share a bit of information that gets the information exchange started, what have we got?
We have started building a trusted relationship.
Where we take that relationship that is context-dependent and likely needs a bit more information, which will vary depending on what we want to do together. Ayra Card allows for this next step, too - using "payloads".
When I hand you a business card, we both know what to do next - and really it is up to us.
Ayra Card is like that - it helps simplify the first few steps of the interaction - the dance.
That is the idea behind Ayra Card.
It helps us start the dance - and other steps follow.
Ayra Card is intended to be as simple as a business card - allowing you to establish a relationship, share a small amount of information, and go from there.
Ayra Network Credentials
Ayra Card is a family of Ayra Network Credentials - first mentioned in the The Special Network Effects of Ayra Network Credentials whitepaper. Additionally,
Ayra Card follows the Design Principles outlined in that paper; and
Ayra Card drives the Special Network Effects as well.
Initially, Ayra Card is focused on First Person Credentials () - meaning the effort is focused on credentials that people hold.
Over time, Organization and Community credentials will likely be added as additional Ayra Network Credentials - possibly linking to Ayra Card.
Kinds of Ayra Card
Different types of Ayra Card are imagined:
Business Card - the (early?) focus of the PoC is on a business card, either self-issued or issued by an organization. This mimics the idea behind

An Additional Piece to Ayra Card: Payloads
Standardizing Ayra Card only gets us so far - it means we can take the first step - offering and receiving a card.
But, what if we included a list of things that may be helpful - a set of payloads that the recipient may be able to take more steps with?
That's what the Payload concept adds.
It lets us point each other at other things that we may do together - leveraging and deepening our trusted relationship.
